Kia has redesigned the 2023 Niro EV with a larger premium interior designed for comfort and quality. The overhauled cabin offers a high-end driving experience allowing rear passengers to be treated to best-in-class legroom. Thanks to the exceptionally large 67 cubic feet of cargo capacity, the new Niro EV gives you ample room and space to pack in all the fun you need.

With a completely different look than in previous years, Kia designers have managed to incorporate angled surfaces into the door panels and top of the dashboard. The steering wheel features a two-spoke design with the center console hosting a rotary shifter along with a handful of other controls.

The 2023 Niro is a complete redesign with a fresh new look that is both inviting and futuristic. It’s still considered a compact crossover but now has close to an inch more wheelbase and a larger cargo area than previous models. In terms of style, it blends inspiration from nature combined with aerodynamic refinement for a reinvigorating aesthetic. Its sleek curves and edges translate well to give the compact SUV its own unique identity. We can expect the return of most colors from previous models as well as some new ones in the near future.

Don’t worry too much about range as you can expect the Niro EV to have a range of 253 miles per charge, which notably is 14 miles more than last year’s predecessor’s 239-mile range. The 2023 Niro EV is powered by a 64.8-kWh battery pack that will be able to be charged from 10 to 80 percent in about 45 minutes when connected to a DC fast-charger.

The Niro’s EV powertrain will produce 201 horsepower, making it much more powerful than its hybrid and plug-in-hybrid siblings. It rides smooth and quiet due to not having a traditional gasoline engine which is just about what you would expect from a top-tier EV. With DC Fast Charging adding close to 100 miles every 25 minutes, you can’t really go wrong.

From a technological standpoint, everything starts with the 10.3-inch touchscreen acting as the central hub of the Niro EV’s infotainment system. Inside the base model, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard while wireless charging and a Harman/Kardon stereo are extra-cost options. Kia is introducing a new piece of technology called the Digital Key 2.0 where users can remotely access vehicle functions through their smartphone. Alternatively, some functions can be controlled using voice-command services like Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant.
